Help Me Help Obama Volunteers in SD!

I am so very proud of Obama Volunteers.  Many of them travel from state-to-state to do what they can for the campaign.

Here's a picture of myself and the Volunteer Coordinator when I traveled to Dayton, OH to canvass:

I'm asking Kossacks to help me with a particular group of volunteers in South Dakota.

I stay in contact with a wonderful volunteer named Katie who I became acquainted with when she travelled to Indiana for the Obama campaign.

Chatting with her today, she revealed to me that it hasn't been the smoothest of experiences in South Dakota and invited me to travel there.

It's a 12 hour trip, and I just ain't makin' it for $4/gallon gas.  However, I asked her if I could send her and the volunteers gift cards.  

She expressed to me that gift cards would be fabulous, especially gas gift cards because they are doing a lot of driving.

So I plan on purchasing a gas card or 2 today and mailing to the campaign.

I'm sure many people here on DK are doing what they can, but the grassroots campaigners are really the backbone of Obama's success, and I personally want to do everything I can.
